FAQ – The Treatment

What is Scalp Micropigmentation?

Scalp Micropigmentation is the process of injecting pigment into the dermal layer of the scalp, replicating the appearance of shortly cropped hair. Scalp Micropigmentation is essentially a hair tattoo, and can be used to create the illusion of fullness, or of a head full of thick, closely cropped hair.

What is Scalp Micropigmentation used for?

Scalp Micropigmentation is ideal for receding hairlines, thinning and balding, alopecia, complete or partial hair loss, scar or birthmark camouflage, and hair transplantation scarring.

How long does Scalp Micropigmentation last?

Touch ups are usually required between 2 and 5 years after initial treatment.  The frequency of touch up requirements will reduce if aftercare advice is followed.  Touch ups are chargeable at a preferential rate for returning clients (our current rate in 2018 is £150 per hour).

What pigments are used in Scalp Micropigmentation?

Evoke use only the highest quality pigments from an internationally recognised industry leader. These inks are designed specifically for use on the scalp, and do not swiftly fade or discolour like other inks.

How much does Scalp Micropigmentation cost?

The cost of Scalp Micropigmentation varies from client to client, and is dependent upon the level of treatment required. Costs typically range £500 to £1800.

Is there a guarantee?

If you require any adjustments to your treatment within the first 12 months, this is carried out free of charge.
